What a treasure to discover! Port Hope was a perfect place to stop on our road trip across Ontario and the Hotel Carlyle was unique and super comfortable. The restaurant had amazing food and drinks: Chronicle IPA, Empire Divine G&T, scallops and save some room for dessert - the crème brûlée and poached pears were delicious. My wife and I stayed overnight at Hotel Carlyle and we’re very impressed. An outstanding room on the third floor. We also enjoyed 2 delicious juicy burgers on brioche buns with a side of Caesar salad. Highly recommend a trip to Port Hope for no other reason than a nice getaway for two just to stay at the Carlyle. The town is pretty quaint too - Bruce and Sandy W

Just returned from a 4 nite getaway. Love this place. Rooms are grand and nicely updated. Owners and staff are very friendly. Had a wonderful experience here last night. My husband asked for a quiet table as it was my birthday dinner and we were led to an enchanting little nook off the patio. The hotel is amazing..it is beautiful and clean and quiet.. the rooms are gorgeous.. large and the beds are comfortable and the bedding is amazing.
