    My wife and I stayed overnight at Hotel Carlyle and we’re very impressed. An outstanding room on the third floor. We also enjoyed 2 delicious juicy burgers on brioche buns with a side of Caesar salad. Highly recommend a trip to Port Hope for no other reason than a nice getaway for two just to stay at the Carlyle. The town is pretty quaint too - Bruce and Sandy W

    We loved our room! So spacious and well appointed. Hotel was very quiet. Staff and owners were all friendly and professional. Dinner was fantastic from the cocktails, to the appetizers, to the mains. Would not hesitate to stay again. - Tango-7

    Just returned from a 4 nite getaway. Love this place. Rooms are grand and nicely updated. Owners and staff are very friendly. Had dinner on our last nite yesterday and food was top notch as was the service. This will be our go to place when visiting Port Hope which we do at least once a year! - Anita K

    Celebrated our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday with a meal at the Carlyle. Our server, I believe his name was Matt, was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The food was delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit to the Carlyle. - Karen S

    Had a wonderful experience here last night. My husband asked for a quiet table as it was my birthday dinner and we were led to an enchanting little nook off the patio. The food was superb and they had my favourite dessert creme brûlée” which was one of the best I have had. Our server was just lovely as well. - TorontoMotheroftwo

    The hotel is amazing..it is beautiful and clean and quiet.. the rooms are gorgeous.. large and the beds are comfortable and the bedding is amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was incredible.. great place to come and just chill.. great location.. park and walk to everything in downtown Port Hope. - nakitia

    What a treasure to discover! Port Hope was a perfect place to stop on our road trip across Ontario and the Hotel Carlyle was unique and super comfortable. The restaurant had amazing food and drinks: Chronicle IPA, Empire Divine G&T, scallops and save some room for dessert - the crème brûlée and poached pears were delicious.
